PixieCore Code of Conduct
Our standard
Participation in PixieCore must be respectful, constructive, and safe. Good participation includes:
- discussing ideas and evidence without attacking people;
- welcoming questions and differing levels of experience;
- giving specific, actionable review feedback;
- respecting privacy, attribution, boundaries, and stated pronouns; and
- acknowledging mistakes and repairing harm.
Unacceptable behavior includes harassment, discrimination, threats, stalking, sexualized attention, deliberate intimidation, doxxing, sustained disruption, or retaliation against a person who raises a concern. This standard applies in repository spaces, project events, and public representation of the project.
Reporting
Do not publish sensitive incident details in a public issue. Report a concern privately to the Project Lead using a private contact method published on the maintainer's GitHub profile. If the Project Lead is involved, conflicted, or unavailable, report through GitHub's private abuse-reporting channel and state that the project contact cannot handle the matter impartially.
Reports should include only information needed to understand the incident, such as dates, locations, links, witnesses, and the requested safety measure. Reporters will receive an acknowledgement when a project contact can safely respond. Information is shared only with people needed to assess or resolve the matter, subject to legal and safety obligations.
Enforcement
Project contacts may issue a private correction, warning, temporary restriction, removal from a project space, or permanent ban. The response must be proportionate to severity, pattern, safety risk, and willingness to repair harm. Conflicted maintainers must recuse. Retaliation and knowingly false reports are themselves violations; an unsubstantiated good-faith report is not.
When safe and appropriate, the project records an anonymized outcome so the community can evaluate whether this policy is being applied consistently.
Scope and changes
This Code of Conduct applies to all project participants, including maintainers. Material changes follow the governance decision process described in GOVERNANCE.md.
